The City of Charlottesville, Virginia, is currently recruiting for the position of Firefighter. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license, be in good physical condition, and agree to sign a "no smoking" contract. Position requires passing a written examination, and persons who pass the examination will be referred to the Fire Department for further pre-employment evaluation and background investigation.
