Reporting to the City Administrator, the Fire Chief oversees an "all-risk" agency with three stations staffed by 30 Uniformed, 1.75 Civilian, and 15 Paid-Call Firefighters. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented leader and mentor with the proven ability to work collaboratively with staff, unions, the Executive Team, and others. Significant command experience and a broad knowledge of the municipal fire service as well as the equivalent of a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Fire Science or related field is required; NFA program completion is highly desirable.
