Engineer/Firefighter

Windsor Fire Protection District engineer/firefighters, under the direct supervision of the engine company captain, respond to all types of emergency callsstructure, vegetation, vehicle, and other fires; medical calls; vehicle accidents; public service assistsand they participate in community service and public education events. Qualifications: Candidates must be 21 years of age or older at time of appointment, have California State Fire Marshal Firefighter 1 and Driver/Operator 1A & 1B (or equivalent), CPAT Card of Completion, six months' full-time paid experience or one year as active volunteer with engineer experience, current EMT certification, current unrestricted noncommercial Class B driver's license (or equivalent), and must be a nonsmoker.

Salary range $4,727.59-$5,384.84 (effective July 1, 2006)
