Firefighter Recruit

Glendale, Arizona

The Glendale Fire Department is announcing open registration for the Recruit Firefighter exam. Registration forms will be available on-line at www.glendaleaz.com/jobs or at Glendale City Hall beginning Monday, April 17th. Completed registration forms must be submitted in person at Glendale Public Safety located at 6835 N. 57 Drive, in downtown Glendale, (just south of Glendale Avenue on 57 Drive) during open registration April 24th to April 27th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. No late registrations will be accepted. For out-of-state registration, call (623) 930-2287. Please leave a message with your contact information and you will be given further instructions. All deadlines will apply to out-of-state applicants.

Candidates must register before the deadline to receive a Test Admission Form, which will provide a specific test assignment date and time. Minimum qualifications: Must be 18 years of age by the test date; possess a high school diploma or equivalent; must successfully pass a Candidates Physical Abilities Test (CPAT) from a Glendale recognized organization to be hired. At the time of hire, applicants must be an Arizona Certified Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic, reside in Arizona, and possess a valid Arizona driver's license.

Test dates will vary depending on availability, but will begin on May 16th.
