Redmond is one of the Seattle area's premier suburban communities. In addition to the Redmond community, the Fire Department serves the adjacent fire district. The City seeks to replace a highly respected Fire Chief who retired after 35 years in the fire service.

Redmond values innovation, collaboration, diversity, and seeks a Fire Chief whose leadership skills include strategic and fiscal planning, capital budget management, and community outreach. The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Fire Sciences, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field and ten (10) years command experience, including five (5) years as Deputy/Division Chief, Assistant Chief, or Fire Chief. A Master's degree is preferred. Experience in a community with a service population of 50,000+ is desired.
