My husband had placed high on the hiring list and had his interview recently. He was told to call them up to find out how he did. They told him that he is not in the July class. They usually put a class through in July and January.
Now he was really confused and asked what he did wrong. The woman asked if he was an EMT, and he said yes. Then she said she's not sure, but there MAY be a class in October for those who already have their EMT. I'm guessing they don't want to put people through EMT who already have it. Plus they are needing to hire a lot of people, so it kind of makes sense that they would try and squeeze a shorter academy in before the January one.
He just got out of the Army and was hoping to get in the July class.
Does this make any sense at all, or do any of y'all know what's going on with this? We both want to get FT fire jobs so badly (volunteers for now).

Thanks!
