mdaeb,
Well here you are again. Just as hateful... I got 12 weeks off as did my husband. As do all the men and women who spit a kid and want the time and have the time in the "bank" of hours we earn every month.
Pregnancy is an injury one that lasts 9 months then the rest of your life if you are lucky !! I would die for my "chicks" I guess I should have used my other nick name Mother Hen not blackwidow !

It is up to the mother to be and the Doctor to decide when she should go off line. I found something a few years ago that the I.A.F.F. said something similar to that.
They can not pull you off of the Rig, just because you are pregnant. You will have to stand up for that. I did not go to a light duty position until the middle of May, I had my son the middle of August.
One of the FF women I know was transferred to the Airport station to Man the ARFF rig, she worked there until she was 8 months. Another friend of mine had a harder second pregnancy and came off line about 4 months and with the first she was on about 6 months.
