I am a A/SO with Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) in Western Australia. I am currently working as the new (and first) FESA equity and diversity officer.

Our initial communication strategy involves convincing the internal audience - particularly operational personnel - of the value of equity and diversity.

I am looking for a suitable 'equity and diversity advocate' or 'workplace champion' of E&D for the purposes of a phone interview that we could print in our internal magazine. This would ideally be a male or female operational person who can tell a 'success story' of equity and diversity. Perhaps someone who has seen the move from the more traditional firefighter workforce (homogenous workforce dominated by white males) to the current one (where diversity is encouraged and supported through an effective, working equity and diversity policy).

If anyone can provide me with contact numbers of one or more potential interviewees I will contact them to set up the phone interview at a time that suits him/her (considering time differences etc.) It would be great if we could also come up with some digital pics to use for the article. Of course all credits will be correctly attributed.
