Hi everyone. I am approximatly 4 months pregnant and outgrowing my station work uniform quickly. My chief would like me to stay as uniform as possible with everyone else. Our uniform just consists of dark blue class A pants, a T shirt, and a polo in summer, sweatshirt in winter. Just wondering if anyone who worked up into their later months have any suggestions on what to wear or where to get uniforms (especially pants) that fit. I don't want to stand out too much and would like to stay looking like everyone else but where we get our uniforms they don't offer any types of clothing for pregnant women. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

we have a place called GALLS. You can go online at galls.com
they have pants and shirts. Also just surf the net for others they are out there. I worked up to my due date, of course limited restrictions.
please remember that the baby is most important do not push yourself, not saying you woud but firefighting and pregnancy can be difficult.
Good luck
Kelly

Joanne,
You might also want to look into the USN's pregnacy utilities pants. They are much cheaper than galls and pretty much look the same. They also have lighter blue maternity shirts that can work as well. If memory serves me correctly, they are also made out of fire retardent material as well. I think that the Coast Guard carries the same pants but an even lighter shirt, but don't quote me on that. You can usually find these at an surplus store, ebay, or if you know anyone in the military, the PXs or NEXs. Good Luck, kids can change your life, I've got two under my belt.

If you would like, I have made maternity pants out of "your" old ones for a lot of my friends....
that way you know they fit everywhere else, and cheaper than buying new ones...
You would just have to send me your pants and I could have them back to you in a week or so, and I only charge the cost of material and shipping...20 or so.
call me at 508-280-4927 for more details if you are interested.
