Request for Proposals
9th International Conference of Fire Service Women
Cobb County, Georgia
March 13-18, 2001

We are inviting proposals for workshops to be presented at WFS' 2001 conference in Cobb County, Georgia. To be considered as a faculty member for this event, please submit a proposal including the following information:

? What workshop would you like to present? (Explain the subject; give the title if you have chosen one.)
? What type of workshop is it? Examples:
? ?Lecture
? ?Facilitated group discussion
? ?Interactive/practical (such as simulated incident command, assessment centers)
? ?Hands-on/practical (such as pumping, high-angle rescue)
? If you want to present your workshop as a team, be sure to list all presenters. If you would like to be part of a panel or team but have no co-presenters in mind, please indicate this.
? Length of workshop session you would prefer: 2 hours, 3-1/2 hours, or full-day session.
? Maximum number of attendees per session, if any.
? Would you present the workshop more than once, if requested?
? What special equipment or facilities would the workshop require? (Do not include audiovisual equipment such as VCR's or flip-charts.)
? If the workshop is an active, hands-on session, indicate what if any liability insurance coverage you have.


Also include your name, address, position in the fire service, and a copy of your resum? or other documentation of your qualifications for presenting the workshop. If you have presented the workshop before and have it on videotape, you may submit a copy of the tape for review.

WFS will provide a free conference registration (excluding banquet ticket and any special events requiring a separate fee) to all those selected to be presenters at the conference. Faculty members are responsible for their own travel, lodging and other expenses.

To receive full consideration, all workshop proposals must be received by September 30, 2000. Faxed proposals will not be accepted. You will be notified in writing if your proposal is approved. Submit proposals to:
