About WFS

?

Women in the Fire Service, Inc., is a non-profit, membership-based organization providing networking and advocacy for fire service women, and resources and information for the fire service as a whole. We have been in existence for more than eighteen years publishing information, holding conferences, and providing guidance towards the goal of a harmoniously diverse fire service.

We welcome you to our website and hope you will find it of interest whether you are a structural or wildland firefighter or fire officer, an EMT or paramedic, an arson investigator, fire safety educator, dispatcher, fire science instructor, EEO counselor, human resources professional, a student writing a paper about women firefighters, the life partner of a fire service woman, or just a casual surfer.
