Lieutenant Kelly Becker is a volunteer firefighter/EMT in Molalla, Oregon, who was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. The mother of three young children, she has been in the fire service since 1991 and is the first woman to become a lieutenant in her department, Molalla Fire District #73. She has been one of Molalla's top responding firefighter/medics, averaging nearly a thousand calls per year. Kelly Becker has touched many lives throughout her years of service. Now she desperately needs all the help she can get. She is facing the battle of her life, and needs support from the fire service she has so proudly served. Although she has medical insurance, her out-of-pocket expenses for treatment and drugs not covered by her insurance company have already reached into the thousands of dollars, and are still climbing. Kelly's family and friends have established the "Kelly Becker Cancer Fund" to help offset some of these expenses. Donations of any size are most welcome -- every dollar will help make a difference.
